What should I do before I upgrade to Windows Vista?

Check all your hardware is compatible with Windows Vista before you upgrade your operating system to Windows Vista.



Will my modem work with Windows Vista?

If you bought your Thomson 330 USB modem from freedom2surf after 14/5/07 then you will have received the appropriate driver CD with the modem.

If you bought your Thomson 330 USB modem from freedom2surf before 14/5/07 the modem driver will need to be upgraded before you start upgrading your computer's operating system to Windows Vista. This can be done by visiting the Thomson Firmware and Drivers website.



Should I remove the existing modem driver first before installing the Vista driver?

Yes. It is recommended that you carry out the following activities;
• Download the latest drivers and save them
• Uninstall the existing modem drivers
• Update your operating system to Windows Vista
• Install the new driver you saved previously saved




Will my router work with Windows Vista?

The Billion 5200G router will require a firmware upgrade if you use the router in the wireless mode. If you use the router with a network cable connected it will continue to function unaffected by the Windows Vista upgrade.
