Billion Firmware Update.
How to update your Billion Routers Firmware |
Note: Please have your ADSL username and password handy before continuing. You will need to re-enter these details at the end of the tutorial.
Step 1. The latest firmware version for the Billion VOIP router is 5.07
If you have an earlier version please download the latest firmware here and save it to your computer.
You will need to go to the downloaded file and unzip it before proceeding to step 2.
Step 2. Login to the Router:
Open Internet Explorer or your default web browser and type http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar then hit enter or click go.
You will be presented with a user name and password prompt. Enter user name as admin, password as admin and click OK. This will take you to the modem's Status Page. Here you can check your firmware/software version next to the Software Version Line.
Step 3. From the left hand side menu click on Configuration, System, then Firmware Upgrade.
Click on Browse and locate the firmware file you downloaded in step 1. Select the file and click on Open. Then click on Upgrade.
Step 4. The upgrade process will start, this can take up to five minutes to finish. Please do not power down the router during this task as permanent damage could result..
Step 5.
When the firmware update is finished you will be asked to Restart the router. Next to the Restart Router With select Factory Default Settings and then Click Restart
Step 7. As soon as the router is rebooted you will need to setup your Billion Router again with your DSL/VOIP settings. If you need help on this please click here
