Step 1:
Open Internet Explorer or your preferred web browser and type:
http://192.168.1.254 into the address bar then hit enter or click go.
You will be presented with a user name and password prompt. Enter user name as admin, password as admin and click OK. This will take you to the modem's status page.
Step 2:
From the left Hand Menu, select Quick Start.
Step 3:
Use the following information to setup up the router:
Connection:
Encapsulation = PPPoA
VPI = 0
VCI =38
Make sure NAT is set to Enable. (This can be disabled but is only recommend for advanced users)
Optional Settings:
For the IP Address, SubNetmask and Default Gateway fields enter 0.0.0.0
DNS:
Select Obtain DNS automatically
PPP:
Under PPP enter your Freedom2Surf ADSL username and password. For example: ADSL08702423759@f2s.gw3
Click Apply
Save the Settings:
Click Save Config
Click Apply
Click OK on the popup
Step 4:
When the settings have been saved click The Restart Button
Select With Current Settings and Click restart.
You will then see a count down timer, when the timer has counted down to zero, the router will have been restarted.
Step 5:
The status page will show connection established and will show an IP address in the IP address field.
You are now connected to the Internet. This window can now be closed.
